Without a Cause

But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’ John 15: 25

Many people live in their sin and they have justified their sin, they feel comfortable about their sin - as long as you don’t expose it. Jesus came and exposed the sins of the world. John 15:22 says "If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin" and Jesus continues in verse 25 to say "they hated me without a cause."

In ministry and in my Christian walk, I have found there are people that don’t like me, people that have no reason to dislike me. I have loved them and spoken the Word of God to the best of my ability to them with only intentions of helping them. Yet, there are still those that "hate me without a cause" as people "hated Jesus without a cause." Jesus told me in John 15:18 that if the world hates me it is because they hated Him first. Really it should be expected.

The prophet Ezekiel was made a watchman for the house of Israel. (Ezekiel 3) God told him if he gave no warning to the wicked to turn from his wicked way and if the wicked died in his iniquity then "his blood I will require at your hand." God continues to tell Ezekiel that if he does warn the wicked and they don’t turn from their wicked ways then the wicked "shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul."

One thing I know is that Jesus kept on preaching the TRUTH, he kept on preaching to the world no matter what response He got, no matter if it was received or not. As Christians and as ministers of the Gospel, we are to continue sharing the Word of God, the true Word of God whether it is received or not. So keep on speaking the word of God and when it isn’t received, dust off your feet and keep on going!
