| The B-I-B-L-E
. . and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. -2 Tim. 3:15-17 Do you remember singing that children’s song about the Bible? It went like this "The B-I-B-L-E, that’s the word for me, the BIBLE!" Perhaps you didn’t grow up in church like I did. But I can remember singing that song along with a lot of other simple songs that are still true today. The word of God is for teaching us right from wrong, correcting of our actions and attitudes, and for instruction in the right way of living- as the above scriptures say. The word of God is full of promises that God has made to us. The bible is full of examples of God’s love and judgement, the things that He has done for His people and what He will do for us. The word of God has the plan of salvation (John 3:16, Romans 10:8-10). The scriptures were given by God and not by man (2 Tim. 3:16, I Peter 1:20, 21). His word is full of warnings, blessings, poetry, stories and wise sayings. Every answer to every question you could ever ask is in the Bible. God is so perfect in everything He does. He isn’t forgetful like we are. He didn’t forget to include something and later wish He had put it in there. It is complete. If you are searching for answers to life’s questions, take the time to look in the Bible. I am sure God will lead you to the right answer.
